Alright, I know it's a bit belated, but this is my "New Year Post", so to speak...such as it is....*clears throat awkwardly*
I just want to encourage you all to concentrate on the "New" part of "Happy New Year" and not the "Happy" part. If you've started out this year hoping to have a happier life, chances are, that isn't going to happen. On the other hand, if you're looking to make this a "New" year for yourself in some aspect, you'll be a bit more....successful? I know that isn't the word I wanted to use. Anyways, here are my verses to share with you today:
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
Matthew 16:24-26
Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it. What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?"
Have a blessed and meaningful new year, starting today!
