One thing I understand with perfect clarity...

...but at the same time have difficulty presenting in intelligible terms. It is that, when one is in love, one can be very foolish. This foolishness is not always wrong, if one is foolish for the sake of the object of thier affection. If, however, one acts foolishly for their own gains, then their foolishness is folly and a waste of time. True love is never pointless, but often foolish - very, very, unbearably foolish.

True love is...
unconditional,
uncontrollable,
unrelenting,
irreversible,
a servant's heart,
the gift of a life,
sacrificial,
hopeful,
truthful,
faithful,
immeasurable,
ineffable,
unfathomable,
unpredictable,
simple,
straight forward,
sincere,
pure,
praise worthy(as so few things in this life truly are),
beautiful,
sacred,
freely given at a cost,
complete,
everlasting, and
purposeful.

The world often sees true love and misinterprets it as foolishness. Christ's sacrifice was not foolish, but done out of true love for you and me. Perhaps you would die for your best friend, but who would die for someone who would not be grateful of the sacrifice? He would.

Whether you consider God's love foolish or not, please at least consider it.
